Nasrin Kheiri is an Iranian-American visual artist based in San Diego, California, with more than five decades of experience in painting and art education. 
Her artistic journey began at the age of sixteen, when she first started studying painting and exploring the world of visual art.
Over the years, she has worked across a wide range of styles, including realism, classical, Modern, abstract paintings, mixed media, and Calligraphy, with different techniques like oil, acrylic, watercolor, color pencil, charcoal.
This extensive experience has allowed her to develop a rich visual language while continually experimenting with new forms of artistic expression.
Her lifelong exploration eventually led to the development of her signature style.

The "Crystal Vision Art", is a distinctive artistic language inspired by light, geometry, color, movement, and emotion.

A Visual Philosophy

​​Crystal Vision is more than a painting style; it is a way of seeing the world.

Developed through years of artistic exploration, "Crystal Vision" transforms light, color, and form into a visual language of faceted surfaces and luminous geometry. Like a crystal receiving light and reflecting it in many directions, each composition reveals different dimensions of beauty, movement, and emotion.
At the heart of Crystal Vision is the belief that reality is never seen from only one perspective. A single form can hold many facets, and each facet can reveal a different experience of light, color, and feeling.
Through this visual philosophy, Nasrin Kheiri explores the relationship between light, geometry, harmony, and emotion, creating a world where familiar forms are transformed into something luminous, multidimensional, and poetic.
Crystal Vision is not simply about painting crystals, it is about seeing life through the many facets of light.
It sees the world as a harmony of light, geometry, and emotion. It is a new visual language. In Crystal Vision, she imagines the hidden structure of existence as a world of luminous polyhedral forms.

Chapter 1

Crystal View (1995)

The Beginning of a New Vision

​

"Crystal View" marked the beginning of Nasrin Kheiri’s exploration into a new visual language. It emerged from her fascination with the way light interacts with geometric surfaces, breaking a single image into multiple facets, each reflecting a different intensity of light, color, and depth.

Rather than representing crystals themselves, Nasrin began to see the world through the structure of a crystal. Forms were divided into geometric planes, moving gradually from shadow to light and creating the illusion of dimension on a flat surface.

This discovery became the foundation of her "Crystal Vision" philosophy. Geometry was no longer simply a structural element; it became a way to explore light, perspective, and transformation.
Crystal View was the first step toward seeing familiar forms from a new perspective—as if the world itself had been viewed through the many facets of a crystal.
In this vision, crystal is not merely a material. It is a symbol of clarity, purity, transformation, and the invisible structure of existence.

Chapter 2

Crystal Song (1998)

​Where Geometry Meets Poetry

Crystal Song marked the second chapter in the evolution of Nasrin Kheiri’s Crystal Vision. In this phase, the geometric language of Crystal View began to merge with the beauty of nature and the rich visual heritage of Persian art.

Inspired by Persian miniature painting, flowers, birds, and traditional motifs, Nasrin transformed organic forms into luminous, crystal-like facets. The structured geometry of the earlier works became softer and more lyrical, allowing color, light, and form to create a sense of rhythm and harmony.

The name Crystal Song reflects this transformation. Each facet becomes like a visual note, and together they create a composition that can be experienced almost like music—a harmony of light, color, culture, and emotion.
Crystal Song is where the geometry of Crystal Vision begins to sing.

Chapter 3

Dance of Life (2001)

Where Line, Movement, and Emotion Come Together

​

"Dance of Life" represents the third chapter in the evolution of Nasrin Kheiri’s Crystal Vision. In "Dance of Life" collection, the crystalline world expands beyond light and geometry to embrace the human figure, movement, relationships, and emotion.
Flowing lines and simplified figures move across crystalline backgrounds, creating a dialogue between the softness of the human form and the structured geometry of the crystal. The lines suggest connection, interaction, and the invisible bonds that exist between people.

Here, movement becomes a language of its own. Figures may represent a mother and child, a teacher and student, friendship, love, or simply the shared experience of being human. They reveal life as a continuous movement of creation, transformation, and love.
"Dance of Life" reflects the constant rhythm of human relationships—coming together, moving apart, growing, connecting, and changing.
Dance of Life is where the geometry of "Crystal Vision" meets the rhythm of human connection.

​Selected Exhibitions

Nasrin Kheiri has presented her work in 8 solo Exhibitions and more than 50 Group exhibitions in Tehran, London, and San Diego County since 1977.
Selected exhibitions include the Sa’dabad Museum in Tehran, Camberwell Summer Show in London, San Diego Art Institute / Museum of the Living Artist, Ashton Gallery at Art on 30th, and numerous exhibitions throughout Southern California.

Her exhibition history spans nearly five decades, reflecting the continuous development of her artistic practice and the evolution of her distinctive visual language.
